Drivers urged to adhere to insurance contract

Luanda 12/12/09 - The head of the legal office of the Insurance Supervision Institute (ISS), Luzia Tadeu Major, invited this Tuesday, in Luanda, drivers to obtain their insurance contract to avoid later worries.

"Drivers should not wait for a proper time to sign their insurance contract, it is better to do so now", Luzia Major said during a course on the Evolution of the Insurance Market addressed to journalists of the capital city, Luanda.

"At the moment insurance companies are working to place everything in order so that the compulsory civil responsibility insurance enters into force next February 11, 2010", she said.

At the occasion, the head of the department of autonomous funds of ISS, Jesus Teixeira, explained that anyone who can be civilly responsible to compensate for damages caused to third parties for the circulation of vehicles on public roads, as well as users of means of the state distributed for personal use, either permanently and regularly.
