Inadec defends constitutional protection to consumer
Luanda 5/12/09 – The National Consumer Institute (Inadec), Wednesday in Luanda, defended the constitutional protection to consumers.
This was expressed within the framework of the ongoing public discussion of the three constitution drafts.
Speaking to Angop, on the fringes of a debate jointly promoted by the Constitutional Commission, the Ministry of Economy and the Faculty of Economy of the Agostinho University, Inadec director general, Elsa Barber, stressed that constitutional protection of the consumer rights is justified by the interest it involves.
According to the official, in the consumer defence sector, suppliers almost always systematically damage the intersts of the buyers, in infringement of the existing law.
“We think that the introduction of the consumer right in the constitution could bring a major protection to those who consume”, she stressed
