Sonangol invests USD 9 million in construction of fuel stations

Huambo 4/12/09 - Nine million US Dollars were released by the Oil Company "Sonangola" for the construction of fuel stations in São João ward, outskirts of the capital of central Huambo province.

According to Sonangol's administrator, Carlos Veloso, the construction of the projectis part of the National Company's programme aimed at expanding and improving the services to customers.

With a capacity of 150 cubic metres, the new petrol station will operate 24 hour a day, with stress to car servicing and sale of cooking gas. The infrastructure has also convenience store and restores.

The director of Sonangol for Centre/East, José Sobrinho, who praised the project, said that the construction and rehabilitation works are part of the effort made by the company that will reach the districts of Bailundo and Alto Hama.

Inaugurated by the provincial governor, Albino Malungo, the number of petrol station stands at 35 in the region.
