Sumbe 24/08/09 – The Unicerâmica factory located at eight kilometres off Waku-Kungo city, Kwanza Sul province, is producing 4,000 bricks per day, Angop learnt from its manager, António Baptista.
According to the source, the factory is producing three types of bricks in different sizes 30/9, 30/20 and 30/15 and the prices range from 62 to 104 Kwanza each.
About the raw material, he said that the locality has big reserves of clay that makes the factory to produce without stop.
Antonio Baptista added that people are looking for the material because the country is in a reconstruction process, and it is expected the increase of production if the demand increases.
António Baptista said that the factory is developing a social project to help people who live in that locality.
The factory has 47 national workers and two foreigners.
