Luanda 20/08/09 - The programme of restructuring of the system of logistics and supply of basic commodities to the population (Presild) has contributed to the stability of prices in the country’s market and curb speculation.
This was said Wednesday in Luanda by Angolan minister of Economics, Manuel Nunes.
Speaking on the role of Presild in the development of the country's productive and commercial chain, the economist said that apart from being an instrument for price stabilisation, the programme guarantees the trade of over 4,000 products and contribute to generate more jobs.
Manuel Nunes said he his convinced that the programme has yielded the results set by the Government, mainly in the transportation of products from rural areas to the city and the valorisation of internal production, which he considered to be a benefit for the national economy and people’s well-being.
Presild that foresees the construction of 31 supermarkets all over the country, aims at to modernising and organising the commercial activity, in order to increase supply of essential goods to the population.
