Angolan bank, Portuguese business association sign accord

Luanda 28/7/09– The Foment Bank of Angola (BFA) and the Entrepreneurial Association of Portugal (AEP) on Thursday here signed a partnership agreement for the holding of four fairs in the coming two years, the CEO of the banking institution, Emídio Pinheiro, informed.

In declarations to the press during the 1st Fair of Decorations, Furniture and Textiles, which was opened on the same day, the manager said that it is the first partnership of the kind, in which BFA hopes to generate added value to the country's economy and to local and foreign firms.

According to Emídio Pinheiro, this is BFA's first assistance to the creation of partnership between FIL (managing firm of the FILDA facilities) and AEP.

The source desires for a greater union with the business public and others, as long as the partnership brings success for both parties.

The fair of Decorations, Furniture and Textile is being attended by 30 percent of local firms and 70 percent of foreign companies, some already operating in Angola.

The fair will proceed until next August 02 at the facilities of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA).
