Luanda 17/7/09 – One hundred and fifty heads of cattle were auctioned on Sunday, at Luanda International Fair (FILDA), which yielded over half a million US dollars.
The sale of cattle was promoted by the south angola’s associated breeders in partnership with the Agriculture Ministry.
According to the South of Angola Co-operative of Cattle Breeders (CCGSA) chairman, Ŕlvaro Fernandes, the event was competitive due to the interest that this type of activity has raising lately, as well as the high level which the farmers have been presenting in purchasing top breed of cattle.
Among the buyers were the businessmen Fernando Teles, BIC Bank manager, and Adérito Areia, from Benguela Province.
