Luanda International Fair opens

Luanda 14/7/09 – Angolan Economy minister, Manuel Nunes Júnior, representing the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, opened this Tuesday afternoon 26th edition of the International Fair of Luanda (Filda2009), an event being attended by 680 expositors from 28 countries.

Comparing to last year, the exhibition increased more than 130 firms, as well as new countries, like Singapore and United Arab Emirates, that participate for the first time.

Under the slogan of “Os desafios do agro-negócio em Angola” or (The challenges of agro-business in Angola), Filda open this year with the participation of countries like Brazil, China, South Africa, Japan, Germany, Namibia and Singapore.

Participated in the opening ceremony ministers of Agriculture, Afonso Pedro Canga, of Tourism, Pedro Mutindi, of Trade, Idalina Valente, provincial governor of Luanda, Francisca do Espiríto Santos and other government officials.

Filda is a business event that brings together every year, since 1983, national and foreign businesspeople to show products and services, as well as establishing business contacts.

This edition is dedicated on Agro-business and the 18 Angolan provinces are taking part.
