Businesses with Austria below desirable

Luanda 6/26/09 - The secretary general of the Austria consulate to Angola, Stefan Schmidt-Hayashi, on Friday here said the business between the two countries is not yet desirable, but he believes that the situation may be overcome taking into account the co-operation programme, Angop has learnt.

Speaking to Angop, Stefqn Schimidt-Haysashi said that between 2007/2008 period his country sold to Angola products worth 200 million and 300.000 euros and bought to Angola goods estimated at 214,000 euros what in his opinion is not yet the desirable.

He informed that most of the trucks that carry rubbish in Angola are from his country, adding that there is a programme that aims at the building of hospitals in the southern African country, but that is already under negotiations.

Austria has a high technology in the area of demining, machinery specialised in wood production and others for platforms, what may be profited for Angola reconstruction process.
