Luanda10/6/08 - The third seminar on oil industry promoted by the United States of America multinational Chevron, is taking place in the country’s capital city, Luanda.
The event gathers engineers from Cabinda Gulf Oil Company-Chevron, who are interacting with the media professionals about oil issues in Angola.
The meeting is aimed at endowing the participants with basic and useful knowledge on the long process between the discovery of oil and the supply of the refined product to the consumers.
Chevron also intends to contribute to a better understanding by the participants about the period from the capital investment up to the return of the money invested, as well as the various factors which determine them.
The third workshop is due to end this Monday afternoon.
Chevron – Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (CABGOC) operates in blocs 0 and 14, located in the offshore of the northern Cabinda province, and has been operating for over 50 years in Angola.
The company employs more than 2,500 Angolan workers, who represent about 88 percent of the US company workforce.
