Luanda 9/27/08 – Twelve judges were sworn in Friday in Luanda, at a ceremony chaired by the Supreme Court chief justice, Cristiano Augusto Andre.
At the event that was also attended by the Justice minister, Manuel da Costa Aragão, those invested pledged to cooperate for the achievement of the goals of the State, defend the fundamental principles of the Constitution and respect the law.
On the occasion, Cristiano André called on the newly invested judges to seek to deserve the trust placed on them and be devoted to their work.
He also urged the new judges to contribute for a response to the more than 8,000 civil files entered until June 30 this year.
The 12 magistrates have been distributed to the courts of Luanda, Huíla, Lunda Sul, Huambo, Benguela and Lobito city.
The function was attended by members of the Higher Council of the two Magistracies, (Judicial and Attorney’s office), justice auditors and guests.
