«Lar do Patriota» Residential Complex to Build 3,000 Apartments
Luanda 9/20/08 – A total of 3,000 apartments divided into 50 buildings will start being built, as from next week, within the "Lar do Patriota" residential complex, in Luanda, in an investment of USD 2 billion.
Speaking to ANGOP in the light of the launching ceremony of the construction of the buildings, on an area of 80 hectares, the chairperson of the cooperative, António da Silva informed that the project includes the construction of a gym-sports centre, a six-star hotel, a shopping centre with 80,000 square metres, a cultural centre and a residential area.
According to him, the planned area will also include the construction of buildings with 10 to 25 floors and apartments of the T1, T2 and T3 classes, with one, two and three bedrooms, respectively.
To adhere to the residences built by the cooperative, interested youths should be included in the “Angola Jovem” project of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which is the owner.
As a second option youths should obtain information at the offices of "Lar do Patriota", in Luanda, in order to learn about the other methods of access.
The interlocutor stated that the residences vary between USD 100,000 and 250,000, although its real market value is around USD one million, paid through the bank.
