Kuito 9/9/08 - The agriculture sector in central Bié province will increase this year the production of rice across the region, with the distribution of five peeling machines of this product.
The provincial director of Agriculture and Rural development, Filismino Rodrigues da Costa, told ANGOP that in the coming days it will be distributed tractors to benefit the rice growers, in the localities of Camacupa, Catabola, Kuemba and Kuito.
The official urged the local entrepreneurial also to intervene in the rice tillage and other cereals, with view to contribute to the increase of grain production.
The sector is also committed to improving the trading method of the product, for high profit.
